Readers Agree: Overstock Customer Service AWOL
Three readers share Overstock customer-service horror stories (please see comments at end of post). Overstock web traffic continues to grow--up 40%-plus year-over-year per Comscore--and CEO Patrick Byrne has been mercifully silent on the subject of dastardly short-sellers of late. Judging from these three anecdotes, however, the company has serious work to do.
Where the hell is the watch I ordered!!!!!! They said 7 to 10 days? I will never order from them again!!!

I recieved a diamond ring from overstock for Christmas. Two of the diamond chips fell out.. I couldn't find them (this was within days) I contacted overstock to begin return. Days later they contact me for more info due to a computer error...I send info and they do nothing, I make a phone call before going out of town, explain that I must have return label in the next 24 hours or I will be unable to access it...They assure me it will be there "special research department" and all. It doesn't come I come back two weeks later to find it arrived while I was gone and timed out. I request another one, it doesn't come. I call they say it didn't process for some reason????so they send it again, 5 days later! I return the ring FINALLY, now there is some inexplicable problem with giving me an overstock credit. I'm back in the special research department. They are theives!!!! I have been promised immediate action so many times it isn't funny. Why are they still in business?
