The WSJ reports that Google's first announcement tomorrow at CES will be a deal to sell video from and for CBS and the NBA (or, in more user-friendly terms, allow Google users to search videos from these sources and then download them--for a fee). Thus, Google will kill two birds with one stone: First, officially dip a toe in the portal/etailer waters and begin to diversify its monolithic revenue stream, and, second, appease the outraged old-media egos-that-be. A Google iTunes, presumably, won't be long in following.
And after making this announcement, one hopes, Google will also quit jawboning about how it has no plans to become a portal and just gallop into the business.
thanks admin good post
